IATSE members often travel to work in other Canadian locations. Did you know:
- When you work in the jurisdiction of a Canadian IATSE Local other than your own, your health benefit contributions can follow you home.
- If you belong to multiple Canadian IATSE locals, you can choose one plan for your health benefit contributions to go to!
- Most Canadian IATSE Locals have signed a Reciprocal Agreement to flow health contributions for Canadian members.
To flow your health benefits when working in other Canadian jurisdictions:
Step 1: Sign a member assignment of benefits form showing where you want your health benefits to flow.
Step 2: Give your local(s) a copy of your signed form for their records.
Step 3: When you travel for work, let the local whose jurisdiction you are working in know, and give that local and your employer a copy of your signed form.
