When Should I Call Lifeworks?
You and your family can call, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, for completely confidential support, information, or assistance. From a personal crisis to parenting questions, career matters, or alcohol and drug concerns: The Client Care Representatives (CCRs) are trained to connect you with the help you need so that you can deal with the issue.
What Can I Expect When I Call?
Assessment: You will speak with a qualified CCR who will assess your situation. They will then guide you to the assistance that will be best for resolving your issue.
Confidentiality: You will need to provide basic information such as your name, that you are a member of IATSE Local 873, and the reason for your call. This information remains completely confidential and is never provided back to the union. This information is only used to provide the Trust with how members may have used the MAP benefit —without ever providing information on individual users.
Support
- For crisis situations. The CCR will ensure you receive immediate help and urgent counselling matters are given an appointment within 24-48 hours.
- For any other questions and concerns. The CCR will direct you to the right type of help in the way you’re most comfortable with, whether it’s connecting you to a program, linking you to a counselling appointment, or sending you a self-directed information package.
Remember, no problem is too big or too small and contacting your MAP is the first step towards help.
